2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is depicted in a close, tender embrace with 9S, her fellow YoRHa android. Both characters wear their signature black gothic-lolita combat outfits, with 2B’s blindfold partially lifted to reveal her striking blue eye, while 9S rests his head against hers. The scene is set against a dark, minimalist background, emphasizing the intimacy and emotional depth of their connection in the post-apocalyptic world created by Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames for Square Enix. This digital illustration captures the quiet vulnerability beneath their combat personas, highlighting the complex AI-driven relationships central to the NieR: Automata narrative. The artwork is a fan-created piece that masterfully blends the franchise’s signature mood with detailed character design.
