2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is depicted in an intimate embrace with 9S, both clad in their signature black gothic-lolita combat outfits with intricate gold embroidery. The dynamic pose, captured from a low angle, emphasizes their emotional connection amidst the post-apocalyptic world of the PlatinumGames game. Her blindfold remains in place, symbolizing her role as a combat android, while the dramatic lighting and dark backdrop enhance the mood of vulnerability and intimacy. This digital illustration, created by a fan, captures the deep bond between the two YoRHa units, set against the emotional and philosophical themes central to Yoko Taro’s narrative. The artwork highlights the contrast between their military purpose and human-like emotions, a core theme in the Square Enix franchise.
