2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is depicted in a rare moment of vulnerability alongside 9S, her combat partner and confidant. The black-and-white line art shows them seated closely, with 9S tenderly touching 2B's face, a stark contrast to their usual combat-ready personas. Both wear their signature YoRHa combat attire — 2B in her gothic-lolita-inspired black dress with puffed sleeves and blindfold, 9S in his military-style jacket with utility straps — rendered here in clean, expressive linework. This fan art captures the emotional depth of their relationship, a hallmark of Yoko Taro’s narrative in the PlatinumGames and Square Enix title, set against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world. The digital illustration emphasizes intimacy and connection, showcasing the characters beyond their roles as android soldiers.
