2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is depicted in a tender embrace with 9S, her partner android, in this evocative fan art. The digital illustration uses a desaturated, sketch-like style with soft shading, emphasizing their close connection against a minimalist, cloudy backdrop. Both characters wear their signature YoRHa combat outfits — 2B in her gothic-lolita black dress with blindfold, 9S in his tactical coat — highlighting their roles in the post-apocalyptic world crafted by Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames. The mood is deeply emotional and introspective, reflecting the core themes of love and sacrifice in the Square Enix game. This piece exemplifies the depth of fan art inspired by the NieR: Automata universe, blending character intimacy with the series' signature melancholic aesthetic.
