2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is portrayed alongside 9S in this fan art, both rendered with vibrant red hair against a monochromatic red backdrop. 2B wears a dark, corseted gothic-lolita dress with a choker, while 9S sports a tailored dark jacket over a buttoned top, both featuring pale skin and signature blue eyes. The stark, minimalist composition evokes a dramatic, moody atmosphere, contrasting the characters' usual military attire with a more intimate, stylized aesthetic. This digital illustration captures the emotional complexity central to the PlatinumGames and Square Enix title, created under Yoko Taro's vision, and reimagines the Android duo in a striking, non-canonical visual narrative.
