2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B), protagonist of NieR: Automata, is depicted in a whimsical, celebratory scene, floating upwards amidst a cascade of colorful balloons and confetti. She wears her signature black gothic-lolita outfit with thigh-high boots, gloves, and blindfold, yet the mood is unexpectedly joyful and carefree, contrasting the game’s post-apocalyptic themes. The digital illustration captures a surreal moment of levity, with soft lighting and a dreamlike sky, highlighting the character’s emotional depth beyond combat. Created by fan artist [A]musement, this piece blends the dark aesthetic of PlatinumGames’ world with a playful, almost childlike innocence, showcasing 2B’s humanity. This fan art exemplifies the enduring appeal of Yoko Taro’s narrative and Square Enix’s iconic character design.
